As one of my first furniture design projects, the objective was to design a piece made entirely from Formica materials. I chose to create a modern kitchen island, modeling the concept in SketchUp to explore form and function. While precise dimensions were not required and may reflect incorrectly, the emphasis was on creativity and material innovation. My design highlights Formica’s versatility, balancing clean lines with layered surfaces for a striking, functional centerpiece.
